Anna Mae’s was born out of a recession, a daydream & two people’s shared love for street food. When they quit their jobs in 2010 and decided to take a foray into the world of street food, who knew that 5 years later they’d be hawking mac n cheese out of a big gold mac truck?! Now they’re growing up to be one of the most talked about boutique street food brands around and winner of the Street Food category at the London Food Awards.
Their food is made for festivals: ‘Downhome’ comfort food served with southern soul, street style and a large helping of fun. Most famous for their pimped up Mac N Cheese; elbow macaroni in a Monterey Jack, sharp Cheddar and stringy Mozzarella cheese sauce which they scratch make freshly in front of festival goers, and served hot and bubbling out of giant cast iron skillets. Customers can then tailor their mac n cheese with different gourmet toppings.
